While viewing Growl on the App store, I realized I suddenly had the Growl icon in my menu bar, but had never approved its installation, and no, I did not purchase it by mistake either. I was wondering if I were to try it out, for possible purchase, if it's safe to use, for example, is it safe to allow it to access the keychain that then gives it access to my email account and other related programs. I am not trying to get around purchasing the app, because if I like it, I most certainly will, I am simply wondering if it is safe to test it out now while its on my computer.
