I looked at my Activity Monitor today and was astounded to see HardwareGrowler using 400+MB of real memory. My system uptime is currently about 7 days, so this represents less than a week of execution. Relaunching it drops use Real memory down to just 35MB. IMO this is horrible behavior for a process that is a "background" utility and, based upon its description, just monitors hardware/ network events to broadcast them via growl. It should have 0 cumulative state to track while running.
