I'm not answering your question directly (since I have no answer
for the close button). But why not turn off logging for all the
"unimportant notifications". Then the rollup won't even appear
except for the important notifications. That's how I solved the
problem and I almost never see the rollup now, so closing it has
become a non-issue.
