So, there's a lot of speculation that Apple's new NC in OS X 10.8 will get rid of growl and I think that's pretty ridiculous. The NC will only work for apps that are installed through the app store. What I think would be cool is if Growl pushed all of it's notifications to the NC and thereby making Growl and NC have a mutually symbiotic relationship. :)
