Growl 1.3 and above went away from the preference pane model to comply with the way the app store works. The app asking for GrowlHelperApp is most likely either using an out of date applescript that wasn't designed for future flexibility, or its using an out of date framework or using its own checks on whether there is a framework. Is there an app that goes with this HR Clock (I couldn't find what HR Clock was) that would be trying to send growl notifications?
