Growl version = 1.4 Mac = Macbook Pro 17 2011 Mac OS = OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion (had this problem with OS X 10.7 also) Default Style for Growl = Bubbles.
PROBLEM: *I have two Growl Dock Icons* I usually keep Growl on the Dock so I can turn it on and off and access preferences. Lately, when I start my Mac, I have ben getting a second Growl Dock Icon on the right side of the doc. When clicked, this second icon opens up the Growl Preferences window, just like the first growl icon. When I right click on the second icon, it pops up the Growl menu, just like the first grow icon. When I quit Growl via the second dock icon, Growl quits. *However, the second dock icon remains active and does not go away. *When I right click on it, the pop-up menu shows stating *"Application Not Responding"* and gives you the option to *"Force Quit"*. When I select Force Quit, the dock menu refuses to go away. Activity Monitor verifies that Growl is not active. But this second dock icon is still present. Only by restarting the Dock does this second menu go away. Irritating bug. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
