So here is a bit of sample code, taken from here:

for bringing a file into the script as tiff data to pass to growl, and
avoid sandboxing issues.

While the command to us to notify is executed in our namespace, using
our code, the initial read in of that image data is handled by the
applescript system outside of us entirely.
