I've already posted for MailHub, who are more likely to be at fault, but you never know. If 'Use Growl Notifications' is selected in MailHub, Growl shows all notifications in some default style (whether or not Forward to Notification center is selected). It also shows all notifications, even if the box for "New mail" is unticked.
