Today, I downloaded and installed the new growlmail 1.3.5. Soon, I realized that I was getting multiple notifications per new message. Following various threads online, I came to understand that this was a gmail IMAP issue as growlmail sees a new email for each of the labels that email is tagged with. Enabling "only notify for emails in your inbox" in the growlmail settings was supposed to get rid of this. However, what actually happened was that the behavior changed - I now got fewer notifications for each new email (good), but I am now getting 2 notifications per new email.
This behavior is consistent across gmail, my university's email accounts, and my hotmail/yahoo accounts. I came across another post that said that this might be due to two concurrently installed versions of growlmail. Therefore, I downloaded the uninstaller for the previous version of growlmail and ran it successfully, and re-installed growlmail 1.3.5. Still, I have the same problem. How can I fix this issue? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
