Ok, so, that setting is in the windows version but not OSX, not terribly surprising. However, in looking at those options, I found a way you can workaround this as an option. Its not terribly pretty, but it should work. It has the option to move a completed torrent or its .torrents file to a specific directory. You can use that to your advantage. OSX has a feature called folder actions, which can be attached just about anywhere. I realize this might not jive with your torrent workflow, but it is an option.
If you decide to go this route, here is some instructions, Open applescript editor, paste the code from https://gist.github.com/anonymous/5463460 into it, and save it as add - GrowlAddedFiles.scpt in the following directory: ~/Library/Scripts/Folder Action Scripts (that folder will likely need to be created) right click the directory you are going to send your torrents or .torrents files to upon completion. Select either enable folder actions, or folder actions setup (and if enable, do it again and click folder actions setup). Find add - GrowlAddedFiles.scpt, and select it to attach to the chosen directory. To test, simply add any file to the watched directory. Finally, disable uTorrent in Notification Center, and enjoy being able to have Prowl send you notifications that your torrents are complete On Apr 25, 3:30 pm, Guy Fisher <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Daniel, > uTorrent does send notifications to Mac's notification centre. > Problem is that Growl works with Prowl so I get notification from growl > forwarded to my iPhone, but Mac's notification centre doesn't work with > Prowl. > > I don't seem to be able to see anywhere where there are pre/post scripts, > see *all* the preferences tabs in the attached ZIP file > . > Many thanks for your help. > > > > > > > > On Thu, Apr 25, 2013 at 8:22 AM, Daniel Siemer <[email protected]> wrote: > > From looking at utorrent's own support forum and release notes, it > > appears they hardcoded it to use Notification Center on Mountain Lion > > rather than update to our newer framework that would give them the > > best of both (NC for those without growl, growl for those who prefer > > it).
