I recently removed growl after discovering it on my system when it notified
me of an update.
Uninstall tool did not work,I received a error message 'oss****'-something,
so I followed the instructions for manual removal
(http://growl.info/documentation/growl-package-removal.php).
Everything seemed ok, no growl results in finder or activity monitor, and
it disappeared from systempreferences -> other. However the notifications
of the update keep appearing. I'm sure these notifications haven't been
generated by OS X notification centre.
How to get rid completely of any traces of growl on my system?
I'm using OS X 10.8.3. Dropbox, which has apparantly installed growl has
been updated to the most recent version.
Thnx
