Hello,
While testing the pre-realase of GrowlTunes 2.2b5,
I thought of some suggestions:
----------------------------
1) Since the user can select Dock icon only and no Menu icon,
some (or maybe all) of the items only available in the menubar item could be
duplicated in the Dock menu.
----------------------------
2) When you change the notification description, the result is not immediately taken into account
but only when the user switches to another setting pane ("General" or
"Shortcuts").
This is not really user-friendly when he's building his preferred label set and
want to test it several times.
With same point of view, the changes on any pane should be taken into account
immediately,
like the Icon position setting for instance (like in HardwareGrowler).
----------------------------
3) Allowing the user to wrote his own text (not only drag tag labels) could
satisfy more people.
For instance, they could write words or add separators this way:
(Name) - (Artist) - (Play Time)
instead of being currently limited to:
(Name)(Artist)(Play Time)
Moreover, allowing insertion of carriage return would be even better.
----------------------------
4) Clicking on the first menu item from the menubar icon (which is the cover
and the informations)
could open iTunes window directly on the playing track.
----------------------------
5) tag (Artist or Album Artist) should be renamed reversed: (Album Artist or
Artist)
to make it far more clear since it implies a priority meaning: "Album Artist,
otherwise Artist".
I've not tested what is the right priority order for "Long Decription, Comment or
Description",
but it could follow the same.
Best regards,
-Yann.
