Hmmm... Now I'm not getting any notifications AT ALL for hard drives & 
volumes! 


@Chris; Thanks for the info about a new release. Though I suspect I've got 
a corruption somewhere. Maybe I should try a clean install? Any idea what 
files I should delete before downloading again from the App Store (I don't 
see a plist or growl folder in Application Support).
