Now I'm trying to compile Growl and HardwareGrowler myself — so if Bezel
doesn't work as expected try to make it work again.

I followed
http://growl.info/documentation/developer/growl-source-install.php and
quickly ran into a couple of casting errors. I googled for them (I have
some notions of programming and some obj-c) and found these writeups

http://dbknickerbocker.blogspot.com/2013/03/building-growl-201-to-save-499.html
https://gist.github.com/Justasic/5454695

but again I ran into more errors not covered there (first source). I'm
using Xcode 4.6.3 in OS X 10.8.4.

This is what I've done until now

hg clone https://code.google.com/p/growl/
export LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"
hg tags | grep 2.0.1
hg update "Growl.app 2.0.1"
hg update "HardwareGrowler 2.0.1"
generate certificate for "3rd Party Mac Developer Application: The Growl
Project, LLC"
get NSInteger casting errors

Removing (NSInteger) doesn't solve the problem — removing
Wbad-function-cast from Other Warning Flags solves it but I get other
errors.

Could you point me to more recent official instructions or help me further?
