Hi Dominique,

It's actually a really old version of the Growl framework embedded in
Scrivener, not Growl itself. What you can do right now is download Growl
Version Detective and update the framework built into Scrivener.

What you can do to help all other Scrivener users is respond back to the
Scrivener support people the stuff in between the line of hashes here to
them. Hopefully this will help anyone else affected by the issue.

Hi Scrivener Support people,

Chris here from Growl. It appears a few of your users have contacted us
regarding Scrivener crashing with Growl listed as the cause. While it
appears this way, the real problem is the built-in framework shipping with
Scrivener is old and needs to be updated.

The easy solution is to update the Growl framework built into Scrivener.
You can get it from here:

http://growl.cachefly.net/Growl-2.0.1-SDK.zip

This should be a drop-in replacement. There are enhancements since the
version built into Scrivener currently, however just to get going you
should not need to do much more than update the framework. Which is what
Dominique has done with our Growl Version Detective tool in order to get
Scrivener back up and running.

Please contact me with any questions I will happy to provide you with more
details.
