It seems this got lost with moving away from grpc.github.io. I stumbled over it myself and wasted some time searching for it since I thought it's finally possible.
I made a thread discussing this already back in 2016: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/grpc-io/3KRk-72cqyE We used a workaround for it in the meantime, but it would still be nice to be able to just shortcut it in those cases using inproc.
