I have already clarified ( and fell very sorry ) that grub 1.98 in not in lenny
but in testing squeeze. I gave it a try to modifying grub2.cfg as

After restarting the machine I get the same old grub, no menu :-(
Have I missed something in my config or the testing branch is still no ready to
support it ?
