  There used to be a requirement that any changes to the multiboot2 
implementation required updating the multiboot2 spec in lockstep.   Since GRUB2 
is the canonical implementation of multiboot2, I think it’s essential that the 
spec be well-maintained and that it reflect the GRUB2 implementation.
