This commit causes a regresses. Building it as a coreboot payload with `-Os`, it crashes in QEMU. I am using Debian sid/unstable with GCC 10.2.

Build the payload `default_payload.elf`.

Clone coreboot, run `make menuconfig`, increase the ROM size to 2 MB and under *Payload* choose *Add a payload (An ELF executable payload)*, and select `default_payload.elf`. Run `make -j$(nproc)` and run the image in QEMU:

     $ qemu-system-i386 -enable-kvm -m 2G -bios build/coreboot.rom -serial stdio
