Hello, Today at one point, while trying to clone GRUB GIT as well as GNULIB GIT (from bootstrap) I was getting some very slow performance.
I stumbled upon a post from Savannah Users: "CGIT and GITWEB mirrors activated": https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/savannah-users/2025-05/msg00002.html It indicates some new links (for read-only clones perhaps), which gave me significantly improved clone performance... for GRUB it was: https://https.git.savannah.gnu.org/git/grub.git (cgit link: https://cgit.git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git) I assume for GNULIB it would be: https://https.git.savannah.gnu.org/git/gnulib.git Should the instructions here: https://savannah.gnu.org/git/?group=grub be updated to point to the new link? Also, we could think about updating the bootstrap clone URL default for GNULIB. Ironically, I see an update was just made less than two hours ago to GNULIB's version of bootstrap to make this change: https://cgit.git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gnulib.git/commit/?id=153f0b7003c23a8138253dc420a4c7a7d682a2fa Please let me know if you'd like me to submit a patch for the GRUB docs... I don't have the ability to change the website content though, I assume that'd be Daniel? Thanks, Andrew _______________________________________________ Grub-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/grub-devel
