It seems that configure is confused about your compilers. You are trying to build a vendorcc64dbgpthr flavor, which on AIX should mean it is using IBM's XL compilers, but from the snippet below, it looks like configure has found a gnu g++ compiler that it is trying to use.

Is xlc_r installed and on your path?
