I am installing gt4.0.5. I am setting the simpleCA.I am at a stage where i am
supposed to do the following:

Now I need to get that certificate request to the globus user so it can be
signed, then send the signed cert back to bacon:
choate % cat /home/bacon/.globus/usercert_request.pem | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Firstly I wanted to know that what does this command mean?? Also after " | " it
says "mail globus @choate" . Now what mail or id is this. Is this some email id
or what ?? And what would this command do ?? To run this , what id would i need
to give ??
Does this id thing have any real significance ??
After this it says:

Now, sign it as user globus:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ grid-ca-sign -in request.pem -out signed.pem
To sign the request
please enter the password for the CA key: ******

When i run this command i get an error wich says :
ERROR : File request.pem is not readable
Next i wanted to know that is the file "request.pem " automatically generated ??
Because in my case this file is not getting generated of its own. I gess that
is why it is saying not readable.
If it is not automatically generated then what am i supposed to do??
If it is generated of its own then what can i possibly be doing wrong that it
is not doing so ??
