Is there anyone who succeed the ping test example?? I followed the instruction

But I can't. I cannot understand what following sentences mean. "6.2.2. Configure the index to use the execution source. By default, the index is configured to use a WS-Resource Properties polling mechanism. It is necessary for this example to change the index configuration to use the execution source instead." How can I change the index configuration?? And in my opinion, the instruction is not enough. I hope that someone comment about the instruction documents.
