I used the instruction in this document: http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/development/4.1.2/info/webmds/admin/index.html#id3572182 [in addition to update the container's port number in $GLOBUS_LOCATION/lib/webmds/conf/indexinfo_nosec and containerinfo_nosec]
