Position: Oracle Developer Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6-9mos with extension* ** *Rate: $500/day.* ** *Job Responsibility: · Work with the Project Manager/Business analyst, architects and other team members to design solutions of the projects undertaken. · Participate in and work on all aspects of the technical design & specification phase of projects. Ensure solutions are defined for all requirements, solutions are agreed to by the business line and other IT teams, options are provided for large or complicated changes and all functional design is documented and delivered to an exceptional quality and is consistent across deliveries. · Provide subject matter expertise to support development & testing of project deliverables and validation of quality assurance. · Ensure business engineering standards are applied by all parties involved in projects and deliveries. Participate in initiatives to improve standard business engineering practice. Essential: 3+ years experience in software development preferably with experience in Financial Services – back office. Strong background in Oracle development Self-driven, confident, strategic but pragmatic, good communicator and team player. Knowledge of full development lifecycle, data analysis and structured analysis and design methods. Strong technical skills, including technical specification writing. Ability to work without close supervision, yet to rigid timescales. Dynamic, pro-active mentality. Strong technical background* ** *Required Minimum 8 years consultant.
