*Job Title : QA AnalystLocation : Alexandria, VADuration : 6 months Contract to PermRate : $40/Hr FACE TO FACE REQUIRED FOR THE 2ND LEVEL INTERVIEWNeed EAD OR GC OR US Citizens only for this position.....* Qualifications: Data Quality Analyst Experience with Data Quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality Suite or Trillium Data Quality Suite Advanced knowledge of data query and extraction tools (eg: Informatica, ETL, SQL Developer, etc) Strong Analytical and Database reporting skills required. Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills. Solid oral, written, and presentation as well as strong interpersonal skills are required A team player with the ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior team members Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience 5+ years experience with querying and analyzing data. Informatica experience Data Quality or Data Quality Profiling Application Responsibilities: Assist in determining root cause of quality issues and recommending short term and long term solutions Investigate, trouble-shoot, and document source-to-target and other data issues from internal and external customers Evaluate current quality control processes and make recommendations for process improvements Establish, monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements for financial instrument data quality with the outsourcing vendor Perform audits as required to ensure quality processes exist and are being adhered to within Operations Perform routine data verification Develop and implement a data quality monitoring system Develop, implement, and evaluate data quality management policies and practices. Clean and scrub data, and implement data quality best practices. Develop automation of data verifications incorporating checks for exceptions, inconsistencies, tolerance levels, business rules, and valid output. Design and develop additional data quality monitoring based on requirements gathered from business units. Designs, develops, and present finding of complex data queries necessary to fully understand data quality issue/opportunities. Develops summarized data quality and data warehouse dashboards using Business Intelligence reporting. Provide sign off and acceptance for enhanced data verifications and change management activities. Validate the data from the DEV source to the DEV target to ensure the ETL specs have been implemented as documented. Validate post-production changes and ensure tested changes are moved properly to production. Works with business stakeholders to develop and track metrics necessary to monitor data quality. Develop and maintain a working relationship with various information support teams to leverage data access and analysis. Support the data quality activities by utilizing a ticket system. Log data quality issues on the data quality log and tracking the issue for resolution. Work with several cross-functional areas, IT, DBAs, ETL, Data Modeling, BI Administration, Reporting, and data users to research and resolve issues. Develops recommendations on how the business can constantly improve its data quality.
