I tried D3 and a number of other TD-based solutions. The big thing in favor of mGSD (Monkey): subprojects. I don't recall any other solutions with this ability. It isn't perfect, but it at least recognizes that some projects are connected.
The recent update was also helpful. Some of these solutions look promising until you realize that they were long ago abandoned.
