FWIW, I see a "new journal" link in the top right corner of every tiddler in mGSD 3.1.1 beta. But depending on the tiddler, the title of the new journal entry is either in one of these formats:
Wed 18-Aug-10, 08:49 [from a normal tiddler] Journal 18/8/10 [from the built-in shadow tiddler WelcomeToTiddlyspot] Or when I click the "new journal" button that Tim mentions below, I get this format: 18 August 2010 Seems it would be useful to have all of those buttons use the same date/time format, no? Note that clicking "new journal" from either tiddler mentioned above will add a reference tag to the parent tiddler, while using Tim's approach, you just get a "journal" tag.
