Greetings peoples of the gtk-app-devel list...

I have an application that creates a small borderless window containing an
"always below" icon, with the taskbar and pager skip hints turned on so it
doesn't show anywhere except where it's put on the desktop.

I'd like it to occasionally appear in the taskbar, with the urgency hint on, so
it flashes visible. The urgency hint works just fine as long as the window is
listed in the taskbar, but the skip hints onto seem to take effect at initial
window creation.

I think I read a discussion on here about that at one stage, though I can't for
the life of me find it. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how get
this to work? Ultimately, I'd like to be able to click either the icon itself
(which itself flashes) or the nice flashing taskbar item (the urgency hint), to
signify that I'm responding to the urgent status (eg. by watching for the
window receiving focus).

Help would be appreciated... This thing SHOULD work, and it's bugging me as to
why it doesn't. :)
