Shouldn't be a problem.  The stuff in /usr/include should be platform
independent.  The platform specific header file ends up in
$(libdir)/glib-2.0/include (presumably you have different lib64/lib32
directories).

That's odd.  Are you sure you don't have mixed versions of glib
installed somehow?
