There are plans to make it work better with Cairo, like giving it a value for the alpha channel or using doubles instead of shorts for the values. So everything might look a little different with GTK3. But I definitely do not intend to drop any of the functionality provided with GdkColor. So things like the color parsing or to_string() will definitely stay.
