My opinion on this is that we should do this as soon as it is any kind of inconvenience to us to support XP. I.E. if we add some non-optional feature that doesn't work on XP. I don't think we necessarily have to drop existing XP code "just because", let the existing support stay there until it no longer works. Its possible that this is true already, I've not done any Win32 work recently.
