Quoting Thomas Schuerger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.devel:
:I'd like to see some way in GtkG to save the current settings
:manually. Currently (except for searches and search filters) the
:settings seem to be saved only when GtkG exits normally.

I agree. We could also detect changes made to settings (any change)
and trigger a saving at the next convenient point, not too far away
in the future (but not immediately to avoid endless savings when you're
in a customization frenzy).

:As the
:unstable version of GtkG is sometimes unstable (hence its name),
:setting changes are lost whenever GtkG crashes (which happens once or
:twice a day on my system when running in ultrapeer mode).

Really? This is news to me. I was considering the current CVS as VERY
stable. I was able to run it for 7 days without any problem.

If it crashes, I need the core dumps, the back traces, and all the necessary
information to be able to do something about it.
