Because there is a memory corruption somewhere and GTKG starts reading
a memory zone that it has no virtual mapping for (i.e. it's invalid for
the process).  Usually this happens when a pointer is trashed and you
start dereferencing it.

WHY it is happening here I have no idea.  I cannot debug seg faults that
I cannot reproduce, for reasons that should be obvious...
