Quoting Murphy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.devel:
:I'm seeing an awful lot of:
:
:03/06/06 03:48:58 (WARNING): host 213.195.xxx.xxx:2021 (gtk-gnutella/0.92c
:(25/05/2003; X11; Linux 2.4.18-6mdk i586)) re-requested "BlaBla.mp3" too
:soon (170 secs early)
:
:messages in my gtk-gnutella.log. When i do a grep for "too soon" in my
:log file, it seems every vendor/version is represented, including gtkg.
:Do no other vendors honour Retry-After, or is this a bug?

You know, it can happen under some weird conditions that even GTKG could
be re-requesting too soon. What matters is whether there is a punishement
that follows. And for GTKG, that should not happen. (punishement occurs
after the second violation in a 10 minute window).

I just did a:

        grep punishing gtk-gnutella.warn | grep gtk-gnutella

and got only one instance (my servent was up for 3 days):

        !gtk-gnutella/0.92u (01/06/2003; X11; Linux 2.4.19 i686)

The leading '!' makes me suspect that this may not be a GTKG at all,
but rather someone faking it.
