Nope, gtk-gnutella doesn't use iconv directly. One of the used libs
GTK+ or glib isn't properly installed or you forgot to add the path
to -I, -L and -R.

Neither am I, nor do I know any working alternative. I still don't
understand why they used M4 instead of Prolog - the obvious alternative.
