At the lines:
echo "Maybe this is a Cray...trying bld instead..." >&4 if bld t $libc | $sed -e 's/.*\///' -e "s/\\$_o:.*\$//" > libc.list
the if statement evaluates to true, though bld is non-existent.
I can sed this out to always be false from the freebsd port, but it should probably be fixed in a "stable" release.
If regenerating Configure with an altered bld line is out of the question (due to internals of dist, or whatever), maybe it could be changed back to the 0.93.* Configure method:
echo "Maybe this is a Cray... trying bld instead..." >&4 if bld t $libc >libc.tmp 2>/dev/null; then $sed -e 's/.*\///' -e "s/\\$_o:.*\$//" <libc.tmp >libc.list
which works.
Fixing this would also close bug #906597: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=906597&group_id=4467&atid=104467
There's also still the issue of an ICU 2.6 specific check (checking for ucnv_open_2_6), that could be fixed as well.
Regards, Clayton
