Hi, I know you've all been yearning desperately for this: My first attempt at the first step of gui/core seperation.
Description: http://www.struggle.ca/gtkg-guicore-description.txt Files: http://www.struggle.ca/gtkg-guicore-seperation.tar.gz [ Note: the tar file contains the diff as well as new interface files. cvs diff -uN wasn't working, so I couldn't include the new files in the diff. If you untar the file 1 directory below gtk-gnutella-current it should work. (patch with -p0 then). ] I think my choices were pretty obvious, the description should clarify any misunderstandings. I think it's a good first step no matter where we decide to go. I read the IRC log (thanks for mentioning that I should read them Richard) and it seems like there's different paths we might take. I'm all for the seperate processes but even if we don't go that way, I think this patch will be very useful. If there's something I can do to make it easier to check it in (provided we want it checked in) let me know. I know it's a lot of code in one big swoop. I'm leaving town for the weekend so I'll have to read your scathing criticisms and/or adoring praise on monday. Enjoy :) Emile ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
