Alright, if you think it's bearable, we'll just keep it as is - especially
as only the tooltips concerned and GTK2 works fine.

I know, if you use EUC-JP or anything other than UTF-8, it still doesn't
work because the byte length of the characters isn't correctly calculated.
With UTF-8 it works a little better but not really well either.
