gtk-gnutella 0.96b has been crashing on me. It usually crashes ~10-20
minutes after I start it. When it crashes I get the error below. There
are no error messages beside this, other than warnings about peers
misbehaving. I've tried the --sync option as the error suggests, but I
still don't get a backtrace (I assume because the program calls exit()).
Does anyone on the list know how I can debug this? If you reply, be sure
to CC me, as I am not subscribed to the list.
I'm using glib 2.8.4 and gtk glib 2.8.4. This was compiled against the
2005-12-10 CVS with GCC 4.0.3. I will try with GTK 1 when I get a chance.
The program 'gtk-gnutella' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
(Details: serial 26033493 error_code 1 request_code 0 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
