Hi,

I've added a shell script "sha1_cache.sh" to the scripts/ directory in
current SVN. This script is meant for power users only.

You can use it to generate Gtk-Gnutella's sha1_cache. For example, you
might want to run this on a faster machine or simply if you consider
Gtk-Gnutella too slow for this. Note that Gtk-Gnutella calculates
SHA-1s of files in the background to prevent stalling. The
documentation is in the script itself.

You need "bitter" to use this script which is available here:

  http://www.ghostwhitecrab.com/bitter/
  http://www.ghostwhitecrab.de/bitter/

bitter is a command-line tool to calculate the bitprint, SHA-1 or TTH
of files. This may also be useful for other purposes, for example, to
create magnet-links.
