Hmm. After all, LimeWire is an open source project, and the development process seems to be open for external developers. So wouldn't it be theroretically possible for gtk-gnutella developers (if someone is willing to invest time into understanding LimeWire's code) to submit a small patch whenever such a (hopefully easy-to-fix) serious problem is dicovered? Or at least lobby the LimeWire developers into fixing the problem themselves? I mean, philosophically, one could interpret that as an investment into gtk-gnutella, because also gtk-gnutella users would profit from other clients being non-broken.
