Hmm, so this was not a direct trigger. It might be somewaht related 
still because I had used gtk-g with using Alt-C with more than a week 
before going to the filtering tab.

Pressing Alt-C many times cycles between 2 states. In the first just 
blue active selection line from search results is replaced with gray one 
bo no visible element gets focus. Second time the "&Clear results" 
button gets focus (dashed line around the button) but looks like it's 
never clicked (pressing space and Enter does not click it either). Then 
the focus disappears again on Alt-C and then goest to the button etc. 
Clicking the button still works currently.
