Don't use GtkText with 1.3 - it's deprecated. (Didn't you have to
define GTK_ENABLE_BROKEN to get GtkText code compiling at all?)

It's on-topic to ask about GTK win32 here, but I believe the
gimp-win32 list (? something like that) may have more people who knows
win32-specific answers.
