Heh, well I have made some progress on to configuring GTK itself now but, stuck again....
Configure bombs out with a 'Checks for JPEG loader failed'. To be sure, I went and downloaded the jpeg source and installed it, it's all there but gtk isn't finding the jpeg library. Config.log shows: configure:13720: checking for jpeg_destroy_decompress in -ljpeg configure:13720: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -Wall conftest.c -ljpeg -liconv -lin tl -liconv >&5 /tmp/cca130841.o: In function `main': /usr/local/src/gtk+-2.0.6/configure:13738: undefined reference to `jpeg_destroy_decompress' configure:13720: $? = 1 configure: failed program was: #line 13720 "configure" #include "confdefs.h" Comments appreciated.
