Greetings, I'm just getting my feet wet in both GTK programming, X-Windows programming, and OpenGL programming. I'm not sure how serious I'll get involved in the above.
Someone had mentioned to me the existence of a Gtk widget called GtkGlArea which I was only able to find some passing references to on google. I downloaded the Gtk+ docs, and could not find reference to it there. I must say that it's a disservice to the gtk community that there is not a search tool on the www.gtk.org web site. No, I'm not volunteering to do it, but I just think it would make finding relevant documentation that much easier. Anyway, is GtkGlWidet a standard widget that I can drop into my GlApp like any other object that I can pack into an hbox/vbox, for example? Is it relatively simple to program/customize? Does it take advantage of GLX hardware accelleration? Does it even actually exist or does it's lack of mention in the docs (i did a "grep -ir gtkglarea" in the unpacked gtk+ docs with nothing found) imply that it was a figment of someone's imagination, or otherwise a third party tool. Where can I find API references on it? Thanks in advance for any answers. -Rob p.s. I'd ask again where I was originally told about it, but it's more on topic to ask here, than there. So, I figure rather than getting off topic there again, I'll stay on topic with this here. Hope you don't mind this relatively simple question. _______________________________________________ gtk-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-list
