Hello, folks. I am a Mandrake 9.1 user who is having a problem that is apparently unique to my computer, as far as I can tell. Mandrake customer service was unable to help me and they suggested I contact the gtk folks directly to get their input.
When I run a gtk1.x application (ie Gimp) outside of gnome, the themes start going screwy on me. Instead of the gimp running in the theme I had chosen in gnome2.2 (and it was working properly in gnome) it runs instead with a motif-ish standard theme, the same theme as the gimp for windows runs. I downloaded gtkthemeswitch from Mandrake contrib, which rectified this problem with Mandrake 9.0 and allowed me to fix which theme gtk apps ran when not using gnome. When I run gtk1.x apps in kde in MDK9.1, the menus and scroll bars run in the theme I select with gtkthemeswitch, but the buttons are stuck in Mandrake's new Galaxy theme. Also, when I run gtk2 apps in KDE, the color is different from when I run those same apps in gnome. Any ideas to fix these cosmetic issues would be appreciated. If I can't fix it, I'll just be patient and hope that Mandrake 9.2 will be more like 9.0 in regards to the theming. Mike __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
