It's just the theme that tries to give an XP look that's broken, as
far as I know.

I'm not a major app, but mine ships with clearlooks (fast, fairly
plain, not too ugly) from gtk-engines-2.20.1 on gtk+_2.20.1-1 and all
seems OK on XP, Vista and win7.
