Hello As i understand it, a GdkImage with the type set to GDK_IMAGE_SHARED is a XImage using shared memory segments to transfer it through the X-server to the hardware. Is this correct? If it is, what about XvImages (images that uses the yuv colorspace) using shared memory segments? XvImages are to my knowledge supported in X11R6.4 and XFree86 4.0 and make it possible to use hardware to do the conversion from yuv->rgb.
