What is wrong with text files. I personally would be opposed to using a
mailer that stored mail in a format I could not easily grep/cut and
paste/etc through. Maybe in your app make that a compile time option? If
you do use Berkley db that shouldn't be too hard.
(Please no flames, I typically use mutt, but as I am away from home I am
stuck with Outlook for the weekend. )
